Hardtops
Aoxun’s best-reviewed hardtop is the Aoxun 12×10 polycarbonate double roof (4.0 stars, about 1,170 ratings). It weighs about 162 lbs, includes curtains and netting, and states a maximum wind grade of 7 (31 to 38 mph) and a snow depth of 4 inches once bolted or staked. For steel, the Aoxun 12×12 galvanized steel double roof weighs about 298 lbs and shares a pool of about 850 ratings at 4.0 stars with a 16×12 version. The PURPLE LEAF 10×12 Bronze is a heavier 10×12 at about 298 lbs, claims 3,000 lbs of snow, and holds 4.7 stars from about 1,450 ratings. If you get snow or regular wind, PURPLE LEAF’s published loads are much higher; see Best Polycarbonate Hardtop Gazebos if you still prefer a polycarbonate roof.
Louvered pergolas
Here the brands are closer. The Aoxun 12×16 all-aluminum louvered pergola uses 3.8 x 3.8 inch posts, claims 82.5 mph wind resistance, includes privacy curtains and netting, and has two independently adjustable roof sections. It has 4.5 stars, but from only about 56 ratings. The PURPLE LEAF 94AS 12×14 claims 72 mph when fully secured, also has two independent roofs, and has about 140 ratings at 4.6 stars.
Variety
Aoxun covers more niches: cedar wood gazebos, polycarbonate panel gazebos with aluminum frames, grill gazebos, and wall-mounted lean-tos such as the Aoxun 20×10 wall-mounted pergola, which Aoxun says is weather resistant “as long as it is wall-mounted with expansion bolts.” PURPLE LEAF is stronger in retractable canopy pergolas and in large hardtops up to 14×20.
Warranty
Several Aoxun listings state a 1-year warranty. PURPLE LEAF lists 5 years on the hardtop roof, 1 year on the frame, and 2 years on curtains and netting on its Bronze line. Confirm terms for your exact model.

How we put this comparison together
We grouped each brand’s listings in our product catalog by model, so size and color variants that share one review pool count once, then compared frame and roof materials, what is included, manufacturer wind and snow figures, stated warranties, and owner ratings. Ratings and stock were rechecked on October 23, 2026 and will change. Wind, snow, and warranty figures are manufacturer claims, not our own measurements. Our evaluations are based on manufacturer specifications and aggregated owner feedback.
